This project started with a meaningful idea: a custom puzzle pendant for a children’s charity initiative.
The puzzle design represents connection, support, and the importance of every individual piece.
The customer shared the original design with J-Focus. Our job was to evaluate the design, select the right manufacturing process, and turn the concept into a finished 316L stainless steel pendant.
Choosing the right manufacturing process is an important part of custom jewelry development.
We first evaluated the pendant’s shape, thickness, structure, and surface requirements.
After reviewing the design, we found that a simple cutting process would not achieve the desired result.
For this reason, we recommended stamping.
Stamping was better suited to the structure of the pendant. It also provided a more consistent result for production.
The development process was:
Customer Design → Manufacturing Evaluation → Stamping Recommendation → Die Development → Sampling → Production
Selecting the right process at this stage helped us move smoothly from the original design to tooling and sample development.
After confirming the process, we moved into stamping die development and sampling.
The die was developed according to the pendant design and production requirements.
We then produced samples to check the shape, dimensions, appearance, and overall finish.
During this stage, J-Focus coordinated the product specifications and manufacturing requirements. Any necessary adjustments could be made before moving into mass production.
This step is especially important for custom stainless steel jewelry, because a well-developed sample helps reduce problems during later production.
Once the sample was confirmed, the project moved into production.
J-Focus coordinated the manufacturing process to ensure that the finished pendants followed the approved sample.
Our experience in stainless steel jewelry manufacturing allows us to look at a design from both a product and production perspective.
We do not simply produce according to a drawing. We also consider whether the design is suitable for the chosen process and how it can be produced consistently.
This approach helps our wholesale customers develop custom jewelry with a clearer and more efficient production process.
This pendant was created for a children’s charity initiative, making the project especially meaningful to us.
